The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is recruiting experienced Functional Skills Tutors to deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition across Anglesey.

You’ll support learners working towards Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications, helping them build essential literacy and numeracy skills while increasing their confidence for everyday life, further education and employment.

This flexible opportunity is ideal for tutors who enjoy adapting lessons to suit individual learners and making a real difference.

Position Details

* Location: Anglesey
* Position: Functional Skills Tutor
* Hours: 5-15 hours per week
* Start Date: September 2026
* Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications

We’re looking for tutors who have:

* Experience delivering Functional Skills English and/or Maths
* Relevant teaching or tutoring experience
* Excellent communication skills
* A learner-centred approach

To be eligible, you must:

* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
* Provide two professional references
