Food Technology Teacher

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving independent school in Barnet. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students in practical and theoretical aspects of food and nutrition, with the potential for longer-term work beyond the initial placement.

THE FOOD TECHNOLOGY TEACHING ROLE:

• Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3-4.
• Support students in developing practical skills, understanding nutrition, food science, and culinary techniques.
• Ensure high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the Food Technology department.
• Contribute to extra-curricular food and nutrition activities where appropriate.

ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL FOOD TECHNOLOGY TEACHER:

• Must be a qualified Food Technology teacher.
• Must hold a valid Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to complete the training.
• Passionate about practical learning, creative, and able to inspire students of all abilities.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Flexible, proactive, and committed to contributing to the wider school community.

CONTRACT DETAILS:

• Location: Barnet, North London
• Position: Food Technology Teacher
• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: Full-time only
• Pay: Competitive, reflective of experience

TO BE ELIGIBLE, YOU MUST:

• Be a qualified Food Technology teacher.
