Prospero Teaching is looking for dedicated and experienced ESOL Tutor to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to learners across Liverpool.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with learners from a variety of backgrounds, delivering personalised English language tuition that develops speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. As an ESOL Tutor, you’ll create engaging lessons tailored to each learner’s individual ability, helping them gain confidence and communicate effectively in everyday life.

Tuition may take place in learners’ homes, community settings, schools or other agreed venues, depending on individual requirements.

Position Details

* Location: Liverpool
* Position: ESOL Tutor
* Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible to suit your availability)
* Start Date: September 2026
* Contract: Ongoing

What We’re Looking For

The successful ESOL Tutor will have:

* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, CELTA, DELTA, TEFL/TESOL or equivalent)
* Experience delivering ESOL or English language tuition
* Experience providing effective 1:1 tuition or small-group teaching
* The ability to plan engaging, learner-centred lessons tailored to individual needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, supportive and adaptable approach to teaching

To Be Eligible, You Must:

* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
* Provide two professional references relating to work with children, young people or vulnerable adults
