Job description

We are looking for ESOL Tutors to deliver bespoke English language tuition on a 1:1 basis to young people across Thurrock who require additional support with their English language development.

The Opportunity

As an ESOL Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to help young people develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. You will support learners who speak English as an additional language and help them build confidence, improve communication skills and achieve their educational goals.

Many of these young people may be new to the UK, have limited English proficiency, or have experienced disruptions to their education. It is your responsibility to create a supportive learning environment, re-engage them in learning and help them make meaningful progress.

We will work closely with you to monitor learner progress and support effective learning outcomes.
