Design Technology Teacher – Worthing

Prospero Teaching are working alongside a well renowned secondary school in Worthing, West Sussex who have asked us to recruit a Design Technology Teacher for them to start in May 2021.

The Role:

Our client school in Worthing has a vacancy for a Design Technology teacher to join them on a full time basis (Monday to Friday) from May 2021.  How would you describe your teaching style?  If it’s “driven, creative and innovative” then we urge you to apply.  You’ll be working with students who look to stay engaged in their lessons, lessons that allow their creativity to flow.  Teaching up to GCSE is a must, in this role.

The duration of this role is likely to be for the remainder of the Summer term, however there is a possibility that it could be extended through to October half term.

Our client school is to be found in sunny Worthing!  The largest town in West Sussex!  With easy transport links from both Chichester and Brighton, this school is unavoidable to get to.  It’s impressive building was recently renovated and houses the future generation in their learning.  With a consistently GOOD Ofsted, our school is putting all it’s efforts into achieving OUTSTANDING in their next inspection and they need all hands on deck to get there.  Which means that you’ll be offered excellent support throughout your time there.

Supply Teacher Contract/Position Details

Location – Worthing

Position – Design Technology Teacher

Type of work – Class teaching, marking, assessment where applicable

Start date – May 2021

Likely Duration – Until SEPTEMBER 2022 – potentially October.

Position end date – TBC

Contract type – Temporary

Full-time potential

Minimum rate of pay – £145 to £155 Per day

Hours – 8:20am-4pm (term time only)

Supply Teacher Experience, Training and Qualifications

It is essential that you have QTS and experience working in a Secondary school.

You will need to have taught in secondary schools either in a permanent or supply cover role, or on teaching placement if you are an NQT.

Up to date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.

Strong Behaviour Management skills are a must.

To be eligible for any teaching job with Prospero Teaching, you must;

Hold the Right to Work in the UK.

Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with online update service or be willing to process a new application.

Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

Provide two professional child related references.
