A small, popular school located in Barnet, North London is interested in securing a Design Technology teacher teaching job starting this Immediately . The ideal Design Technology teacher will be qualified teacher with a solid teaching background. Someone who will have a degree related to Design Technology and knowledge of the National Curriculum.
The school is interested in appointing a Design Technology teacher to join a thriving and dynamic department in Immediately .The ideal Design Technology teacher would be joining a small but well-resourced department and be required to deliver lessons to GCSE and A ‘level.
About the school and Design Technology teacher contract:
• A medium size secondary school with high aspirations
• An Ofsted rated ‘good’ school
• Solid and supportive Design Technology department
• Department with a collaborative approach to planning, delivery and assessment
• This is a full time position including planning and marking
• Interviewing ASAP
The right Design Technology teacher will be:
*Hold a BA in something Design Technology related and PGCE
*Knowledge of Woodwork or Graphics
*Confident with teaching GCSE and A Level
*Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
The successful Design Technology teacher will have the following:
•UK classroom Design Technology teaching experience
•Eligibility to work in the UK
•Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
•A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service
•Salary paid to scale – teachers’ pay scale MPS or UPS1 dependent on experience
Behaviour at the school is good, well managed and students value their education. The school provide pastoral responsibilities too staff and a range of CPD sessions. The school does provide education for students of all abilities therefore creating differentiated and interesting attention grabbing lessons is a very important trait and will act as a useful method to ensure behaviour stays good.
