A growing, mixed secondary comprehensive in Enfield, North London is seeking a Design technology teacher to join the team starting SEPTEMBER 2022 and deliver Design Technology to 11 – 19 year olds. The ideal Design technology teacher will be qualified and be a passionate teacher.

This is a large, multicultural mixed secondary school located in Enfield are seeking a qualified teacher of Design technology to join the Design technology faculty. The school attracts students from students in Enfield. This is a mixed secondary school and the Headteacher is actively seeking a teacher who is interested in securing a role they can grow and develop within.

We are working together to source a teacher who can teach Key stage 3 and 4.

• Design Technology, Engineering & Construction sits within the Science and Technology Faculty.
• Key Stage 4 is offered AQA Design Technology and Constructing the Built Environment.
• Key Stage 5 we offer BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Engineering

ABOUT THIS SCHOOL AND DESIGN TECHNOLOGY CONTRACT:

• A growing secondary school on the border of London and Hertfordshire
• Design technology taught at Key stage 3 and 4
• Multiple opportunities for progression available
• Department with a collaborative approach to planning, delivery, and assessment
• Supportive and high energy Design Technology department
• This is a full-time position including planning and marking.
• Interviewing ASAP

THE RIGHT DESIGN TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST WILL BE:
• Hold a BA and PGCE in Design technology
• Confident with teaching GCSE and A level
• Creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box

THE SUCCESSFUL DESIGN TECHNOLOGY TEACHER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
• Exceptional Design technology  degree
• UK classroom teaching experience
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
• A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service
• Salary paid to scale – teachers’ pay scale MPS or UPS1 dependent on experience
