As an SEN Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in specialist settings during teacher absence, delivering pre-set work and supporting students with a variety of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same, offering valuable experience for anyone looking to build a career within SEND or education.

Responsibilities

· Supervising small classes of students with special educational needs
· Supporting students to engage with pre-planned lessons and activities
· Managing behaviour using positive and adaptive strategies
· Building strong, supportive relationships with students
· Working closely with support staff to meet individual needs
· Providing feedback to teaching staff on progress and wellbeing

About You

· Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
· Confident in managing behaviour and supporting varied needs
· Experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Flexible, reliable, and proactive
· A background in education, care, youth work, or psychology is advantageous
