Computer Science Teacher

Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a school in Amesbury to recruit a motivated and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher (QTS) for a September start. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward‑thinking secondary school with a strong focus on digital learning and student progress.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop key technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. The school is looking for a teacher who can inspire pupils in a subject that continues to grow in importance across the curriculum.

This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to secure a role for the new academic year in a supportive department.

The Role:

  • Teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and deliver engaging and structured lessons
  • Support pupils in developing coding and computational thinking skills
  • Assess student progress and provide clear feedback
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement
  • Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
  • Promote digital literacy and safe use of technology
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science
  • Experience teaching at secondary level
  • Confident delivering both practical and theoretical lessons
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Organised and committed to high standards
  • Suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs

Contract Details:

  • Position: Computer Science Teacher (QTS)
  • Location: Amesbury
  • Start Date: September
  • Working Pattern: Full‑time
  • Pay Rate: £32,916 – £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
  • Key Stages: KS3-KS4

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:

  • QTS required
  • Secondary teaching experience preferred
  • Experience with coding/programming beneficial
  • Safeguarding training can be provided
