About the Role
We are seeking caring, patient, and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Workers to support pupils within primary schools across Leeds. This role involves working closely with children who may present behavioural, emotional, social, or additional learning needs, helping them to engage positively with education and school life.

Key Responsibilities
· Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
· Support children in managing emotions and developing positive behaviour strategies
· Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
· Assist teachers in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment
· Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and social development
· Implement behaviour support plans and follow safeguarding procedures
· Support children during lessons, break times, and school activities
· Record observations and provide feedback to teaching staff and SENCOs
Requirements
· Experience working with children in schools, childcare, youth work, or support settings
· Understanding of behaviour management strategies within primary education
· Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· Ability to build positive relationships with young children
· Relevant qualifications in Education, Childcare, Psychology, Health & Social Care, or similar are desirable
· Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
