Primary 1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are specifically working with a ‘good’ primary school in Skelmersdale, who are looking to secure the services of an outstanding Teaching Assistant, to cover sickness of a current TA. This particular role is to support the needs of student with SEN, who may display low-level challenging behaviours and can become disengaged from learning quite quickly. You must be comfortable with EBD/SEMH. You will be supporting them 1:1 within the classroom, with full support from other staff and teacher. To be successful in this role, it is essential you are calm, resilient, and overall, have a good sense of humour.

This post is to start ASAP with potential to be long term dependent on sick leave.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location – Skelmersdale

• Minimum rate of pay – £70 per day
• Hours – 8:30 am – 3.30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree educated with a good classification
• Previous experience working of working with young people (which we can reference)
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
