1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Newmarket – Start Date September

Prospero Teaching are seeking a committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a welcoming primary school in Newmarket, starting September. This is an excellent ongoing opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive in a nurturing learning environment.

The school is looking for a patient, proactive practitioner with strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.

📌 CONTRACT DETAILS

• Location – Newmarket

• Position – 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

• Type of work – 1:1 support

• Start date – September

• Duration – Ongoing / Long‑term

• Full time/part‑time – Full time

• Minimum rate of pay – £95-£110 per day

• Hours – 8:50 am – 3:15 pm

📚 EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting children with SEN (school‑based or transferable experience)

• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection

• Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training (desirable)

✔️ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK

• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

• Provide two professional child‑related references
