About the job

Required for an immediate start, our client is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with an Autism specialism to work in one of their Key Stage 2 classes. Working one to one, the successful candidate will need to be calm, have patience and the ability to adapt to different or challenging situations.

Located just outside Newport City Centre, this large Primary School has a well-resourced learning zone for both key Stage 1 and 2 pupils, to help children with additional learning needs. With excellent public transport links, our client also has a large staff car park and is close to Tesco and other amenities.

A Team Teach certificate would be ideal, but not necessary as we offer free CPD training courses when you register with us. Successful candidates will need to have a minimum of 3 months experience working in a childcare setting such as a school or youth club, or possess a childcare qualification and have experience with the Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

If you think you would be an asset to Prospero and to register your interest, please call the Team on 02920 021476 or email
