‘Gareth made us all feel important’ interview with primary school pupil

Interview Aug 2014

Emile says:

“I have experienced the rugby session with Gareth Thomas. Me and my friends, boys and girls really enjoyed it. He also showed us some skills that will help us catch properly with holding your arms out. He did team work games, that were really hard, which helped us work together as a team and understand how we are all important. We couldn’t do the task if we didn’t all work together and have patience. We all got put into teams, then we had to put our arms around each other. He also talked to us about working together and why it’s important.

There were ladders and cones carefully placed on the ground, and we had to run alltogether with our hands still on each others shoulders. We had to step in and out the ladder then go round the cone. (He also made us get fit, and feel good, and now everybody really enjoys tag rugby.) We all got our T Shirt signed which was special, he’s really nice, and that’s some of the things we did during the session”
